NCAA Tournament 2018 live stream New Mexico St. vs Clemson: Watch online
New Mexico State takes on Clemson in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.
All eyes will be on No. 5 Clemson and No. 12 New Mexico State in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The fate of many brackets out there may hang in the balance.
While Clemson arrives in the NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed, their opponents have a much better record than they do. New Mexico State is 28-5 compared to Clemson’s 23-9 record, which is but one of many areas where the two teams are unevenly matched and flip-flopped in seed order. The Aggies lead their opponents in all of the major statistical categories except for one: Free throws. The Tigers are currently 75.70 percent at the charity stripe while the Aggies are at 64.40 percent, which could play into the final outcome should the Aggies get into foul trouble late in the game.
The Tigers know that they’re picked to lose against New Mexico State but they’re not letting it get to them. Coach Brad Brownell plans to keep his team focused on the game and the goal, not the noise from the media: “…For us, it’s more about us believing in ourselves and believing in what we do and who we are.”
No matter the winner, the New Mexico State vs Clemson game will feature an upset. It’s only a matter of whether it’s the No. 12 seed upsetting the No. 5 seed, or it’s Clemson besting a talented New Mexico State team.
