Watch Marshall vs. West Virginia NCAA Tournament: TV channel, live stream, start time
Marshall takes on West Virginia in the Second Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.
Marshall looks to continue its Cinderella story in the 2018 NCAA Tournament as they take on No. 5 West Virginia in the Second Round. Both teams are hot right now and they’re both looking to advance to the Sweet 16.
No. 5 West Virginia made quick work of No. 12 Murray State in their 85-68 First Round victory. Jevon Carter had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the game, bolstered by Teddy Allen’s 16 points, Sagaba Konate’s 14 points and Esa Ahmad’s 12 points. The team shot 4-for-11 from beyond the arc and 17-for-24 in free throws. If they come out strong against Marshall they have a good chance of moving on.
No. 13 Marshall Thundering Herd thundered past No. 4 Wichita State 81-75 in the First Round. Despite a three-point deficit at the half, Marshall came back strong in the second half and ended up with a 6-point victory that came down to the final minute of the game. Guard Jon Elmore had 27 points in the game, giving his team a boost over Wichita State. As a team, the Thundering Herd was 13-for-17 at the charity stripe, which really made a difference toward the end when the fouls started raining down.
Marshall might be the underdog in this matchup, but it’s nothing new for them and they know what the pressure is like going into a higher-seeded team. If anything, this gives Marshall an advantage over West Virginia, and it opens the door for another upset.
