Watch Nevada vs. Cincinnati NCAA Tournament: TV channel, live stream, start time
Nevada takes on Cincinnati in the Second Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.
The South Region of the 2018 NCAA Tournament has been blown apart by huge upset wins from No. 13 Buffalo, No. 16 UMBC and No. 11 Loyola Chicago. All three teams managed to take out No. 4 Arizona, No. 3 Tennessee and No. 1 Virginia, so No. 2 Cincinnati is the highest seed remaining in the tournament at this point.
Unlike some of the other First Round games, Cincinnati had no trouble delivering a solid 68-53 victory over No. 15 Georgia State. Guard Jaron Cumberland had 27 points and 11 rebounds, which helped propel the Bearcats to their win. The team was 30 percent from the 3-point range and 78.6 percent in free throws.
Nevada claimed their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2007. Guard Kendall Stephens had 22 points while forward Caleb Martin had 18 points and 10 rebounds. The team was 11-for-29 in 3-pointers, and 12-for-20 in free throws. This helped keep them ahead of No. 10 Texas in their narrow 87-83 win. Again, this was a close game where Texas led at the half but was cold in the second half, allowing Nevada to tie the game. The Wolfpack was able to edge the Longhorns by four points in overtime.
Cincinnati might be the favorite to win, but don’t count out Nevada just yet. Nevada has the ability to come from behind in tight games and they could surprise the Bearcats in a close game.
