Syracuse takes on Michigan State in the Second Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game on TV and online.

NCAA Tournament Second Round action continues with No. 11 Syracuse taking on No. 3 Michigan State on Sunday, March 18. The Midwest Region has been fairly steady so far, unlike the other regions that have seen huge upset losses from top seeded teams.

Syracuse is still dancing after defeating No. 11 Arizona State 60-56 in the First Four play-in game, followed by a First Round 57-52 win over No. 6 TCU. Jim Boeheim’s team has been playing like they were meant to be in the tournament all along as top seeded teams have fallen all around them. While the Orange were 3-for-14 in their 3-pointers, they were solid with free throws, shooting 80 percent. Not missing those points was critical in their win, as they were down by one point at the half against TCU and only ending up with a five-point margin of victory. Forward Marek Dolezaj led with 17 points while Oshae Brissett added 15 points and nine rebounds.

Michigan State held on to a four point lead to defeat No. 14 Bucknell 82-78 in the First Round. They were 29.4 percent from the 3-point line, going 15-22 from the charity stripe. On paper, Bucknell was the better team, shooting 55 percent from the 3-point line and making 75 percent of their free throws.

Both Syracuse and Michigan State won by narrow margins. Based on their First Round play, moving on to the Sweet 16 will be a matter of which team can stay focused and make the most of the free throws. Every extra point makes a huge difference in these close games.
