Spring football is getting underway across the country and these are the players and coaches in the spotlight and the major national storylines to watch.

The best part about spring football in college football is the optimism surrounding every program. No matter if your team finished in last place last year or if they lost in overtime of the national championship game. All teams enter spring practice with a sense of hope and excitement that this is going to be their year.

With spring practice getting underway across the country this week, it’s time to get into the football spirit and look at some of the major storylines facing each conference, the players to watch out for, the coaches in the spotlight and the major questions facing teams heading into the fall.

I’ve broken down the Power Five conferences to look at one player I’m keeping a close eye on this spring, one coach who is in the spotlight and the biggest question facing the conference heading into the fall. The answer may not reveal itself during the spring, but we will have to keep our eyes close to the situation to see if it’ll be a bigger problem in August.

Beginning with the ACC and working out way west to the Pac-12 and stopping at the Big 12, Big Ten and SEC, let’s take a look at the major storylines facing each conference this spring.
