The Kentucky Wildcats face the Kansas St. Wildcats on Thursday, March 22 in the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Entering the 2017-18 college basketball season, there was the usual talk about John Calipari and his Kentucky Wildcats comprised of prized freshmen. However, as the team struggled in the middle of the regular season, the luster wore off. Fast-forward to now, they’re in the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament and facing a Kansas St. Wildcats team that might not be a match for them.

The Kentucky group comprised of Kevin Knox, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. have torn through a talented Davidson team and then an upset-minded Buffalo team to get to this point. What’s more, they’re the highest seed remaining (5) in the South Region at this point after a bevy of huge upsets. Given that, they may be favorites to emerge regardless, but the way they’ve been playing to finish the regular season and start March Madness makes you believe that even more so.

As for Kansas St., they made history as the first ever No. 9 seed to beat a No. 16 seed. Bruce Weber’s group benefitted from the UMBC upset of Virginia to face the Retrievers in the Second Round. That game was ugly, but the Wildcats have shown flashes this season, and will hope to do so against Cal and the guys from the Bluegrass State.

After the top four seeds in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament were upset, everyone seemed to agree that this was Kentucky’s trip to the Final Four for the taking. Kansas St. will surely have something to say about that in Atlanta. However, no one can say for sure if they’ll have enough to say to stop Coach Cal and his young men.
