Los Angeles Kings

The Kings will upset the Vegas Golden Knights in seven games

This is likely one of the hardest series to pick if you’re doing a bracket or breaking down the matchup, but the Kings will win it.

It’s going to take seven games, but the play of Anze Kopitar will send the Kings to the second round to make another run at winning a Cup and starting a hockey dynasty.

Jeff Carter is also back after missing most of the season, and he’s a very underrated player in the league. Last year, he was a 32 goal scorer and while he only had 13 this year, he has the ability to take a game over at any point for the Kings. Jonathan Quick had a good bounce-back season and finally cracked over .920 for his save percentage for the first time in five years. He’s shown an ability to play well in the playoffs for the Kings and has in three of their deep runs. If the San Jose Sharks also advance, we will have another battle of California in the second round of the playoffs.
