Manchester City will need to win their final two games if they are going to become the first Premier League side to reach 100 points in a season. On Wednesday, the Citizens host Brighton at Etihad Stadium. The Seagulls are 14th with 40 points and will play next season in the Premier League.

Over the weekend, City were held to a scoreless draw by Huddersfield. The draw ended City’s three-game winning streak. Over their last five games, Pep Guardiola’s side picked up 10 points. City’s success this season has been because of their ability to dominate possession in midfield. Kevin De Bruyne has had an excellent season. The Belgium midfielder has eight goals and 22 assists this season. De Bruyne pushes the ball forward to the front three and gets in the attack.

When Chris Hughton took over as manager with Brighton, the club was near the bottom of the Championship title. In his four seasons with the club, Hughton helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League and managed to stay up. The Seagulls defeated Manchester United 1-0 in their last game, assuring the club of survival. Brighton have six points in their last five games. Pascal Gross received almost no attention when he was signed from Ingolstadt but has turned into one of the best signings. Gross has seven goals and eight assists this season.
