After taking Game 3 on Wednesday, the Vegas Golden Knights will try to put their Western Conference Final series against the Winnipeg Jets out of reach in Game 4. Check below for TV times, listings, streaming information and more.
Going into Game 1, we wondered on the eventual outcome between a few key matchups in this series. Notably, how would things go down with Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury facing the Winnipeg Jets’ offense. We also wanted to know if Patrik Laine could find his groove again. Let’s revisit some of those thoughts before Game 4 on Friday.
Winnipeg took the first contest pretty handily 4-2 and it seemed that we actually answered all of those burning questions right away. Fleury wasn’t great on only 26 shots against and Mark Scheifele decided he wasn’t done scoring goals for the Jets. Laine also showed up and showed out with his first tally in eons.
Not that one game is an indicator of how an entire series will play out, of course. But the initial impression was fairly strong in Winnipeg’s favor. Now three games in, we can offer a much clearer view of how the tide has turned for Vegas.

Fleury went back to being out of this world in Games 2 and 3. He stopped 30 of 31 in a 3-1 victory and then 33 of 35 on Wednesday. Maybe most importantly, Vegas got the win on the road before winning at home. Splitting in Winnipeg was going to be a difficult task as the Jets have rarely lost at home since March. So Vegas getting one early could prove crucial to how the rest of this plays out.
Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault also came to play. With four goals in the last two, we seem to be witnessing something of a duel between he and Scheifele. Scheifele also scored two in the Game 3 loss and he has 11 road goals now. The only difference is that Marchessault is getting way more help than his counterpart. It’s what has ultimately changed this series from a 1-0 deficit to a 2-1 lead for Vegas.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has to be better. The Jets have to find a way get Laine going again, and it can’t be the Scheifele and Dustin Byfuglien show. We love Big Buff manhandling multiple players at once, but if he’s more noticeable than almost anyone for Winnipeg, the team is in trouble. Blake Wheeler has been strong with five points, but the Golden Knights are simply matching that with James Neal, Alex Tuch, Reilly Smith and William Karlsson. Brayden McNabb also has three points.
Then again, as series go, Winnipeg will probably come on strong in Game 4 and turn the matchup once again. In fact, we expect it.
Players to watch in Game 4
Jets: Blake Wheeler. Wheeler doesn’t have a goal yet this series but he does have five assists. He also has 20 points which is tied for the NHL lead in terms of players still remaining. He actually hasn’t scored a goal since Game 3 against the Nashville Predators. That was back on May 1. While the assists are great, Winnipeg will need him to start hitting the net and helping to solve the rubix’s cube that is Fleury. That’s even more monumental if Laine continues to wither in quicksand.
Vegas: Jonathan Marchessault. After an opening ceremony by Vegas that looked straight penned from the hand of Giacomo Puccini, Marchessault felt the adrenaline and scored 35 seconds into the first frame. He also added another on an empty net and he now has four goals through three. Aside from Scheifele, he’s the hottest hand going in the West with eight goals and 17 points overall. The Golden Knights need that to continue in Game 4.
