Oh you thought there would be no drama huh? You though the Warriors killed basketball?

“Cavs and Warriors for fourth straight year YAWN.”

“What’s the point if Kevin Durant can join a 73 win team? Why even try?”

“Super teams have ruined the NBA!!”

“MMWWAAAAAAHHH!”

(that’s me typing out a baby’s hangry cry).

Well now Golden State and LeBron James are each 60 minutes from not even making the Finals. The Rockets and Celtics have them on the ropes, keeping them off-balance wih strong defense and a steady barrage of 3-pointers. Even if somehow both the Warriors and Cavaliers rally from their current 3-2 predicaments, that would be incredible drama! Couldn’t be scripted any better.

And no, we at Fastbreak Breakfast aren’t suggesting the playoffs are scripted. Even if we have before. So please join us for our newest episode where we marvel at the latest plot twist of the postseason and fully recognize that we are impotent to correctly predict what will will happen next.

Because the NBA is a giant tapestry of hundreds of personalities that is endlessly fascinating even if you think you know how the whole thing is going to end. So turn your complaints elsewhere. Like maybe to how 3-pointers are ruining basketball.
