Memphis Grizzlies: Lost in transition

More so than any other team in the league, the Grizzlies pretty much have to be better than they were last year. Mike Conley is back and alluring rookie Jaren Jackson, Jr. could have a big impact right away. but the fact still remains that the Grizzlies play in an extremely crowded conference, where the fight for a playoff spot will be brutal. We don’t know if Conley will be the same player he was in 2016-17, or how much longer Marc Gasol’s prime will last. Finally, Jackson, jr. has a ton of talent, but he’s also quite raw, and may not be able to put it together right away. There’s a world where this team finishes with 30-25 wins and fails to stay relevant. But if nothing else they have a potential franchise cornerstone with JJJ.
