Another name has been revealed as part of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2019.

As we get closer to WrestleMania 35 and all of the spectacle that goes along with it, the WWE has begun announcing its inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame for 2019. The company has already revealed that the Honky Tonk Man and D-Generation X will be honored this year, and on Monday, they broke the news, via espnW.com, that Torrie Wilson is the next Superstar to be inducted.

Wilson was a fitness model when she first was introduced to the world of pro wrestling and made her start in WCW as a manager and sometimes-competitor. Her in-ring work began in earnest once the WWE bought WCW and incorporated much of their talent. She had a notable rivalries with Dawn Marie and Sable and was part of the Vince’s Devils trio with Victoria and Candice Michelle. Her career spanned the Ruthless Aggression era of the WWE.

Though never WWE Women’s Champion, Wilson is still a key part of the company’s Women’s Division. And while she officially retired in 2008 because of a back injury, Wilson did compete twice last year, in the WWE’s first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match and the battle royal at last October’s Evolution pay-per-view.

And the lack of championship gold doesn’t bother Wilson, now that she’s been given the nod to go into the Hall. Wilson, speaking to espnW, said:

"This feels like a sweet closure. Since I retired, so many people have asked me, ‘Do you feel bad you’ve never won a title?’ And I have always said no, because I felt like I got the value — even though it would have been nice [to win a title]. But being inducted into the Hall of Fame feels like a championship belt to me, because it really makes me feel appreciated."

The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 6 (the day before WrestleMania) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
