The 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket has been revealed and March Madness is ready to rock with Duke, North Carolina, Virginia and Gonzaga leading the way.

The 2018-19 college basketball season began in early November, but it was always leading to March Madness. Every shot, every game, every single moment was all about trying to punch a ticket to the 2019 NCAA Tournament. On Selection Sunday, 68 teams throughout the country finally saw that goal realized as the bracket was announced.

There was quite a bit of debate coming into Selection Sunday as to who the four No. 1 seeds would be. It seemed certain that the Virginia Cavaliers and Duke Blue Devils were locks to earn that nod, but whether it would be teams like the North Carolina Tar Heels, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, Michigan State Spartans or even the Kentucky Wildcats that would occupy the other two spots atop the regions in the 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket.

Ultimately, it was of little surprise Duke earned the top-overall seed for March Madness, headlining the East Region. Behind as the 2-4 seeds in order are Michigan State, LSU and Virginia Tech. Having the Hokies, who always play Duke tough, in that region adds some intrigue for a potential Sweet 16 matchup.

In the South Region of the 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket, Virginia took the second No. 1 seed, followed by Tennessee, the Purdue Boilermakers and Kansas State Wildcats, respectively, as the top seeds. As for the Midwest Region, North Carolina took the top seed there with Kentucky as the 2-seed, the Houston Cougars as the 3-seed and Kansas Jayhawks as the 4-seed.

Finally, the West Region was led by Gonzaga as the No. 1 seed there. Following them in that region will be the No. 2 seed in the Michigan Wolverines, the Texas Tech Red Raiders as the 3-seed and the Florida State Seminoles as the fourth seed.

Without further belaboring, let’s take a look at the full 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket and the road all 68 teams have through March Madness as they look to become champions:

It’s obvious that the No. 1 seeds like Duke and Virginia will be the most popular picks to win the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Having said that, they don’t call this time of year and the tourney March Madness for nothing. After all, we saw UVA lose to a 16-seed last year and bust brackets throughout the world. So buckle up, because anything can happen when the lights come on in March.
