Every region of the NCAA Tournament bracket has at least one team that is fully capable of ruining your bracket for good. For our advice? Don’t put your hopes on these teams, they’ll break your bracket, as well as your heart.

There are plenty of team’s in this year’s NCAA Tournament bracket who stand a great chance at winning a National Championship this year. Headlined by the No. 1 overall seeded Duke Blue Devils, as well as other No. 1 seeds in North Carolina, Virginia and Gonzaga, it’s a year that is chock full of talented teams on both ends of the seeding spectrum.

It’s not just the traditional top teams that are getting high bids this year, as we see teams like Houston pick up a seed as high as a No. 3 seed. We also see teams like Iowa State and Murray State, who have lit up their respective conferences with high-flying, high-velocity offense all throughout the year, getting seeds much higher than would’ve been expected at the start of the year.

Whether they are full of young players, bursting with energy and excitement to mix with their talent, or more experienced, veteran senior players who are now so accustomed to their system that they may as well have been born into it, there aren’t many teams that will be an easy out of this year’s tournament.

That being said, and this likely won’t serve as a newsflash to many of you reading this: the tournament selection committee messed up.

Now, they did the majority of their job, ensuring that the bracket works out so that all of us can analyze it, breaking down every possible and confirmed matchup, and ensuring that the tournament will go on as planned. The real error isn’t in their performance but in their selection.

As always, there are a few teams in this year’s NCAA Tournament that, without a doubt, come into the season a bit overrated in terms of their Tournament seeding. Be it blue-blood priority, or small-school bias, there are always a few teams in every tournament that you should absolutely not put your money on to win it all, or even to advance far into their own region.

There are a few teams in this year’s tournament who are set to break your bracket, and your heart, if you decide to put your favor onto them ahead of the bracket submission lock. Find out who they are, and why you shouldn’t bet on them (metaphorically, or literally) inside.
