7. Virginia-North Carolina, Final Four

Of all the great matchups in the ACC this season, we only got to see the Cavaliers and Tar Heels square off once. That meeting came all the way back on Feb. 11, with Virginia walking into Chapel Hill and leaving with a 69-61 victory.

Both squads were beaten in the ACC semifinals, preventing us from getting the rematch with a title on the line. Neither ACC powerhouse is in the same region, but they could end up meeting in the Final Four in Minneapolis with a trip to the national title game on the line.

A lot has changed since that night in February, with Virginia continuing to show why it’ll be a real threat in March and North Carolina emerging as a title threat thanks to the growth of freshman Coby White. It would be a shame if we only got to see these two bitter rivals square off once all year, so a second meeting in the Final Four would be fantastic.
