NCAA Tournament 2019: First round scores, schedule, live streams for today, March 21

The 2019 NCAA Tournament tips off into high gear with a full slate of First Round March Madness action on Thursday, and here are all the scores for the day.

Now that the First Four games have been played, the 2019 NCAA Tournament can finally kick into full gear, starting on Thursday with 16 First Round games being played. This is the best time of year for college basketball fans as it’s when March Madness truly earns its name. And we’ll have plenty of opportunities to see that on Thursday with the slate of games set to tip off.

In terms of big-name programs that will be in action on Thursday in the NCAA Tournament, fans will have a chance to watch the Kentucky Wildcats (vs. Abilene Christian Wildcats), Michigan State Spartans (vs. Bradley Braves), Gonzaga Bulldogs (vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Knights), Michigan Wolverines (vs. Montana Grizzlies) and Kansas Jayhawks (vs. Northeastern Huskies).

However, the First Round is all about upsets, and there are some potential ones taking place on Thursday in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The 5-seed Auburn Tigers taking on the No. 12 New Mexico State Aggies is one to watch, as is the 11-seed Belmont Bruins (winners of a First Four game) facing off with the No. 6 Maryland Terrapins. The 3-seed LSU Tigers and 4-seed Florida State Seminoles could also be on upset alert.

With that being said, the main event of the First Round action on Thursday could well be the matchup between the No. 5 Marquette Golden Eagles and the No. 12 Murray State Racers. Two bonafide stars in Markus Howard and Ja Morant will go toe-to-toe in this one, surely giving us a recipe for early March Madness fireworks.
