The Elite 8 of the 2019 NCAA Tournament tips off on Saturday night as two teams will punch tickets to the Final Four. Keep up with all the action here.

Six days worth of college basketball games have whittled down the 2019 NCAA Tournament field to the Elite 8. These eight teams will now start to go head-to-head on Saturday night in the regional final matchups of March Madness. The winners get the illustrious honor of heading to Minneapolis to play in the Final Four.

In the first game of the night, college hoops fans will get perhaps the game of the NCAA Tournament. For much of the season the Gonzaga Bulldogs have been one of the best offenses in the country. At the same time, however, the Texas Tech Red Raiders are an elite defensive club that can shut down anyone. As such, this should be an epic matchup between these two teams.

The finale for Saturday’s Elite 8 matchups will pit the No. 1 seed Virginia Cavaliers against the Purdue Boilermakers. Virginia has been making fans sweat plenty to this point, but have kept on winning. As they take on a hot Purdue team that is also battle-tested, though, the Cavaliers need to be at their best to advance.

With a pair of 3-1 matchups on the docket for the Elite 8 on Saturday night, this should be a fun night of action. Gonzaga and Texas Tech should certainly put on a show, but Virginia and Purdue aren’t teams to sleep on either. No matter what happens, this should be a great night of NCAA Tournament action to enjoy for fans.
