Now that the Final Four is set, let’s take a look at which team has the best head coach, giving them the best chance (in theory) of cutting down the nets on Monday.

March Madness has been, as always, a thrill but we are down to our Final Four teams. Texas Tech, Virginia, Auburn, and Michigan State remain alive in pursuit of the 2019 national championship.

Each team embodies the personality of its head coach in a way, so it will be interesting to watch since three of these men are in the Final Four for the first time. Chris Beard, Tony Bennett, and Bruce Pearl did a tremendous job getting their squads to Minneapolis, but it takes another seismic effort to finish the job and emerge victoriously.

The other coach in the Final Four, Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, has a title under his belt and is making his eighth trip to the promised land as a head coach. Ranking coaches is never an easy exercise, as we saw from ranking all 68 head coaches who made the field a few weeks ago, but we’ll give it another go here with the last four left standing.

Let’s get started with a look at Beard, who has done an incredible job with the Red Raiders in his three years at the helm.
