The 2019 Indianapolis 500 is the crown jewel of the 2019 IndyCar season. Here’s the full Indy 500 TV schedule, start time, and TV details.

The premier IndyCar event of the year is the Indianapolis 500—and there’s plenty to watch from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Indy 500 has on-track action through the month of May, and if NTT IndyCar Series fans can’t make it to IMS in person, here’s everything you need to know about the Indianapolis 500 TV schedule so you don’t miss the race or anything leading up to it.

NBC Sports is taking over coverage of the race in 2019, after decades of it being on ABC, and they are aiming to make a big impression with fans by broadcasting almost everything that has to do with the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. From pre-race practices, to local festivities, to the post-race winner’s banquet, NBC has hours upon hours of coverage.

However, it’s on different platforms throughout May, including NBC, NBC Sports and its digital network NBC Sports Gold. You can find the NBCSN channel in your area here, which is also where you can go to sign up for a Gold subscription—using the streaming service requires an additional fee. And every practice session is streaming-only.

That’s not the only quirk of the 2019 Indianapolis 500 TV schedule either—note that pre-race and post-race coverage are airing on different networks, so IndyCar fans will have to bounce between channels if they want to get the full race day experience. This year’s Indianapolis 500 is a big deal, if you can keep up with the when and where of it all.
