For the first time in history, the St. Louis Blues are hoisting the Stanley Cup. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Blues dominance in Game 7.
Few pundits gave the St. Louis Blues a chance to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup in Game 7 in Boston. Then again, pundits can be utterly wrong.
The Blues came out with gusto, scoring 2 goals in the opening period, and adding two more in a dominating performance that left many outside of the Gateway City speechless. Who would have thought that the Blues, who were dead last in the standings early in the season, would come all the way back and stand on the NHL mountain top?
That’s the funny thing about the NHL. A team could get hot, and stay hot all the way to the Cup, which is what happened to St. Louis. So, as St. Louis party into the break of dawn, we’ve curated Twitter to bring you the best reactions of the night from Game 7.
They say good things come to those who wait.

52 years later... @StLouisBlues I’m all yours.
The Blues are the first team in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup after being last in the overall League standings with at least 30 games played. What a freaking run. Incredible.

Of course, we can’t leave out the Bruins fanbase, which has to be absolutely devastated right now. Nevertheless, here are the tweets.

(Come on, Catherine, you can say the full word. The Twitter police won’t arrest you.)
This stinks. Really does. Mostly because we weren’t close tonight.

But to be honest, did any of us expect to get Stanley Cup hockey back in the fall? Not me. And for that, I say thank you #Bruins. Seriously. This was a helluva ride.
Enjoy it StLouis. This is a special thing.
Zach Sanford, who grew up a #bruins fan, ices Game 7 of the #StanleyCup and sends fans to the exits at TD Garden.
