Got your Week 2 NFL FanDuel lineups all set and looking for a good reason to avoid tinkering with them? Make some more lineups on some smaller slates! This article will focus on the top plays for the early only slate on NFL FanDuel.

Welcome once again to FanSided Fantasy for your DFS research. This article covers the early only slate on NFL FanDuel, and it is a nice one this week with ten games total. I will highlight my favorite plays at each position, focusing on a mix of GPP and cash game targets.

After breaking down each position, a sample cash game lineup focusing on the safest, and sometimes the highest owned plays on the slate will follow on the last slide.

For the newbies, NFL FanDuel cash games are simply the games in the lobby that are 50/50 or close to that to win. These are basically all of the games other than the tournaments, and guaranteed prize pool tournaments (GPP’s). Head-to-Head’s (H2H), 50/50, and double-ups would best summarize cash games.

We generally want to target volume from the skill positions and the safest combination of high-floor players we can possibly roster. For the best possible explanation between cash games and GPP’s, I would recommend this article which covers GPP strategy from fellow FanSided Fantasy staff writer “Thunder” Dan Palyo.

This should be an especially fun this week due to the fact that all of our main slate chalk is in the later action. We have 10 games here, and not one has a game total of over 50. Meanwhile, two of the three PM games and the Sunday night game all clear that mark.

Our main area of focus on this slate should be trying to figure out if the Patriots will hang a 100 on the Dolphins, and where all of these fantasy points are going to come from with the addition of Antonio Brown to the mix. New England is close to 20 point favorites in this match-up, and it’s going to be tough to completely ignore it in all formats.

There are certainly some other spots that stand out, so let’s dig right in and break it down.
