May 25 Monday Night Raw full results.

Social distancing has forced WWE into shows without crowds for the past two months, but after inspiration from a competitor, Monday Night Raw brought out NXT talent to stand in as the “crowd” for this week’s edition of the show. While that was a big change for the evening, it was not the only change on the night as a new United States Champion was crowned in Apollo Crews.

The biggest moment of the evening came in the first match where Crews faced off against Andrade. This was a continuance of the angle where Crews was injured in a previous match with Andrade, forcing him out of the Money in the Bank ladder match. Crews got his chance for revenge and delivered when he pinned Andrade to take that US Championship from his waist. Crews have been with the WWE since 2014 and this is his first title win with the promotion.

Angel Garza picked up a big win as he defeated Kevin Owens in a one-on-one match. Garza got things off early with a sneak attack on Owens as he walked to the ring, cutting out his legs from under him. For the rest of the match Garza would focus on Owens’s legs, which limited any attempt at a comeback. The injury would be enough to halt any momentum that Owens would start, leaving a door open for Garza to hit the wing clipper for the pin fall.

The ministry of Seth Rollins debuted a new tag team as Austin Theory and Murphy defeated the team of Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo. This was a quick paced match with Humberto doing most of the heavy lifting for his team. That would cost them as Carrillo took a shot at Murphy after he caused Black to take a nasty spill from the top. Theory used that distraction to hit the ATL and get the pin on Carrillo. After that, Rollins threatened to injure Carrillo the same way he did Rey Mysterio but decided not to after leaving a message for both men.

Nia Jax set to challenge Asuka

Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair and Natalya battled for an opportunity to face Asuka at Backlash for the WWE Raw Women’s Title. Natalya and Flair teamed up for a moment to put Jax through the announce table to ringside. The match would continue for nearly 20 minutes after that as each woman had their key moments. It looked like Flair was on her way to another victory but Jax broke up the Figure Eight and then landed a Samoan Drop on Natalya to get the victory and the title shot against  new WWE Champion, Asuka.

The main event of the evening put The Street Profits in the crosshairs of Bobby Lashley and MVP. Montez Ford got his team off to a fast start before finding himself on the receiving end of beatings by both Lashley and MVP. Just when Ford looked like he was going to get the pin, Lashley attacked him with the Full Nelson, forcing the referee to call for the bell. Lashley would not let go of the hold until WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre made his way down to the ring, resulting in a brawl between the two men. McIntyre is set to defend his title against Lashley at Backlash as the third title match announced for the PPV.

WWE Monday Night Raw added a few new wrinkles into their show to make for entertaining changes in a time where crowds are not welcome at events. Tonight’s edition of wrestling saw the crowing of a new champion, a new challenger step forward and the continuation of various feuds.
