Five big questions for Kentucky basketball to address this offseason.

Big Blue is an undeniable college basketball blue blood, as the Kentucky Wildcats are pretty much always going to deliver a championship contender. The Wildcats have been a consistent championship threat under head coach John Calipari, winning the national championship in 2012 and nearly going undefeated three years later.

It looked like there was a good chance Kentucky was poised to make a deep March run before this year’s NCAA Tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. That left Kentucky with a new set of questions to answer as we get ready for the upcoming season.

5. Kentucky questions: Will Cade Cunningham join the program?

It looked like Kentucky’s roster was locked in for a while, but a new wrinkle was thrown into the mix with the potential that the top player in the recruiting class could join the program. Cade Cunningham considered Kentucky before committing to Oklahoma State, a program that recently received a postseason ban from the NCAA.

It is unclear what Cunningham will do now, but if he does explore his options Kentucky would be high on his list. The Wildcats could get Cunningham into their starting lineup immediately and he would have a chance to have the kind of extraordinary impact guys like Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Davis did for Kentucky.

Cunningham will likely make a decision at some point this summer and Kentucky should have the scholarship to play with if he wants to come to Lexington. Landing a player of his caliber would be a huge boost to Kentucky and make them the unquestioned SEC favorites in 2020.
