The Cleveland Browns have the right mix to live up to this season’s hype.

Last season, everyone seemed to jump in the Cleveland Browns bandwagon. The NFL Network was one of many who chose them as the AFC North Champions. FanSided also chose Cleveland as the winners of the division. With all the hype, the Browns might be the biggest failure of the NFL season, finishing 6-10.

The Browns we’re just one huge controversy last season, peaking with Myles Garrett’s suspension for swinging a helmet a Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. It was the culmination to a season that was just a spiral to the depths of the NFL.

This season, they’ve built things much differently. Instead of making splash plays in the offseason, they made smart football decisions. They went with the head coach who brings a good scheme and experience over the one who the players just liked. The Browns stopped the hype machine and now they can focus on just being a good football team.

There’s finally some consistency for the Dawg Pound. The Browns reportedly have quarterback Baker Mayfield on a short leash, which is a little weird but at least it shows they finally have a commitment to winning. If the Browns finally win the division, it will be the first time since 1989, and their first playoff performance in 18 years. There are Browns fans driving that have never even been alive for a playoff game. The goal is to end that streak, which is the longest in the NFL. This is how they can do just that.
