Aaron Rodgers helped out a teammate after a big scoring drive.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers entered play Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints without top receiver Davante Adams. That meant another hurdle for Rodgers to get past in what has been a great start to the 2020 season.

The NBC broadcast was showing a graphic explaining how Rodgers only has one career touchdown pass to a first-round pick when the quarterback decided to show how little that meant to him. Rodgers wound up and hit Allen Lazard for a 48-yard bomb and later finished the drive by throwing a touchdown to Lazard.

The young receiver had quite the drive and Rodgers helped him out on the sidelines by showing off his more selfless side.

Aaron Rodgers gives Allen Lazard another assist

Rodgers has the ability to make receivers look great if they can get to the right spot for his insane throws. Lazard did his job and is also the clear favorite target for Rodgers against the Saints. The undrafted receiver out of Iowa State looks just fine without that first-round label attached to him.

The topic came up in the first place because the conversation shifted toward the Packers using a first-round pick on quarterback Jordan Love. That was a pick that realistically could have been used on a top receiver to give Rodgers more help in the present.

But Rodgers doesn’t seem to be too worried. A player like Lazard stepping up shows the offense is still running smoothly and the quarterback is also proving he is nowhere near done leading this Packers team.

dark. Next. Love selection was weirdly what Rodgers needed

Taking a few seconds to wipe off Lazard’s face and keep his eyes free of sweat shows how easy it is for someone to get on Rodgers’ good side. They just have to do their job, as Lazard did.
