Dak Prescott took to Instagram to thank everyone for their love and support following his serious ankle injury.

NFL fans as a whole continue to feel terrible for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. In the middle of another tremendous campaign for America’s Team, the superstar signal-caller went down in Week 5 against the New York Giants with a fractured ankle.

Now, Prescott will miss the next 4-6 months, officially ruled out for the rest of the 2020 campaign. Ever since his injury, Prescott has been showered with love on social media to wish him well in his recovery.

On Thursday, he broke his silence, taking to Instagram to thank everyone for all of the well wishes he has received.

Dak Prescott has promised to come back stronger than ever from his fractured ankle

On his Instagram story, Prescott also went on to say that he’ll be back stronger and better after suffering his gruesome injury. Before Sunday’s unfortunate incident, Prescott had been playing like one of the best quarterbacks in the game. The 6-2, 235-pounder had thrown for 1,856 yards (most in the league) and nine touchdowns.

Playing on the franchise tag, Prescott was hoping to have a monster campaign for Dallas in hopes that Jerry Jones would finally reward him with a contract extension he felt was fair. The two have been working on a deal for what feels like for years now, but couldn’t agree to a deal during the offseason.

Prescott will now look to rehab like a mad man in order to get his ankle back to 100%, so that he can return and make the mind-blowing plays Cowboys fans have grown accustom to seeing. Despite not being able to suit up for the rest of 2020, he’s promised the Dallas faithful to return to his great form next season. There’s no doubt he’ll work overtime to make that happen.
