Yandy Diaz is one of the most jacked players in baseball.

The Tampa Bay Rays announced their ragtag group of players to the world when they took down the Houston Astros in the ALCS and set up a matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. One of the more colorful members of this cast of characters is infielder Yandy Diaz, who might be the favorite to win any MLB Strongman competition given the iron he’s been pumping.

While Diaz’s appearance in the World Series against the Dodgers will get most MLB fans aware of one of the most underrated players in the game, it’s also an opportunity to show to the rest of the baseball landscape that Diaz is one of the most yoked players at any position in the league, if he isn’t already at the top of the list.

Diaz might be among the league’s most sculpted players, but he is by no means atop of the line slugger given the fact he hit just two home runs all season long. However, he has hit .307 in 34 regular-season games, all the while lining up around the infield and playing solid defense. After struggling to get consistent playing time in Cleveland, Diaz has found a home under Kevin Cash in Tampa Bay that is allowing his unique style of play and chiseled frame to get on the field consistently.

Washington Nationals first baseman Eric Thames has a legitimate claim to this throne, but Diaz might just have enough bicep and tricep power to edge him out. A World Series title in Diaz’s favor might be enough to finally give him some breathing room in these hypothetical power rankings.
