The Patriots and Buccaneers are among the teams on upset alert in Week 7.

Week 6 was played without any postponements for the first time in a month, making it a good thing for the NFL. It was also a help that we had some big upsets on Sunday, including the Rams (who this space warned to be careful last week) falling to the 49ers and New England getting tripped up at home by Denver.

A new week provides new upset opportunities and we will highlight three teams that need to be on alert this week to avoid an unlikely loss. All odds referenced in this slideshow are provided courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Browns need to be on upset alert in Cincinnati

There was a point last week where it looked like the Cleveland Browns were legitimate playoff contenders. That thought went out the window on Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers obliterated them at Heinz Field, routing Cleveland 38-7 in a game where Baker Mayfield got benched after a dismal start to the season.

Despite the poor performance, the Browns are actually favored this week, laying 3.5 points on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. These two teams played a close game in Cleveland in Week 2, with the Browns picking up a 35-30 win, but the Bengals looked much sharper in Week 6.

Cincinnati jumped out to a 21-0 lead on the road against the Indianapolis Colts before losing 31-27. This game is a big one for the Browns, who have all the pressure on them to get back on track on the road against a division rival that is improving. Don’t be shocked if the shockingly poor showing in Pittsburgh carries over for the Browns and leads to an upset.
