Nick Saban was impressed with Tommy Tuberville’s ability to win a U.S. Senate seat.

Nick Saban is right in that age range to consider running for political office one day.

The head football coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide turned 69-years-old on Halloween this past Saturday. Though he is clearly focused on winning another national title at Alabama, perhaps he may venture into the political realm in a few years? As it turns out, you do not need to have ample political experience to represent Alabama in the U.S. Senate. Just ask Tommy Tuberville about that.

Nick Saban is not running for political office at this time, so quit asking!

At this time, Saban is not interested in running for political office. He quickly dispelled any nothing of that during Alabama’s bye week ahead of the rivalry game vs. the LSU Tigers. “I can answer that real quick. No,” said Saban to Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News. We all know Saban’s future is in broadcasting and not in politics. He is not going to run for office in Alabama, so quit asking!

Would Saban be a good politician? Possibly, as he is a phenomenal recruiter and has a way of connecting with people, young and old. The question is where would he run? Would Saban do what Tuberville did and run in the Yellowhammer State or would he go back to his West Virginia roots and run there? Either way, it’s all a pipe dream because Saban is here to coach ball for now.

We are more likely to see Saban on College GameDay than run for political office any time soon.
