Michigan helped elect Joe Biden and one fan is celebrating in a big way.

It’s been a brutal year for Michigan football fans so far with losses to Michigan State and Indiana (for the first time since 1987) in consecutive weeks. However, for one Michigan fan, he had a big reason to celebrate with the presidential election called in favor of former Vice President Joe Biden over Donald Trump.

The race was called mid-morning on Saturday with the count in Pennsylvania called in favor of Biden, sending their 20 electoral votes to him to push him past the magic number of 270.

While Michigan was in the middle of losing to the Hoosiers for the first time since Jim Harbaugh was in his rookie year in the NFL, one Michigan fan was going viral for interrupting a live interview with a France television outlet.

The man in a Michigan hat was elated over the results of the election and showed off his best French accent to express his love for croissants, disdain for escargot and his penchant for omelet au Fromage.

Michigan played an instrumental role in helping elect Biden. As one of the biggest swing states in the election, along with Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, that trio of Big Ten states pushed Biden over the top vs. Trump.
