1. Anthony Gordon

The one thing the Bears need is someone who can pass for plenty. Entering Monday’s game, Chicago ranked in the bottom five of all passing statistics in the league. Although he never found a rhythm with Seattle, maybe Gordon heading to the Midwest could at least stabilize the offense.

A product of Mike Leach’s air raid system, Gordon led College Football last season with 5579 passing yards and 48 touchdowns against 16 interceptions. Another quick-gun, move the ball passer, the 24-year-old is one that will keep drives pushing forward on short clean routes rather than deep passes. For his career, his average pass only traveled 8.3 yards as a member of Washington State.

If the XFL was still around, Gordon would have been the starter of the Houston Roughnecks for 2021. Instead, maybe Chicago will bring him in for a workout and take it from there. No matter who is under center, once Trubisky is healthy he likely would return to the starting role. For now, at least Gordon’s arm adds some curiosity week in and out.
