LeBron James is cheering on Ohio State football today.

Justin Fields and the Ohio State Buckeyes have their biggest test of the season this week, as they will face off against Tom Allen, Michael Penix, and an Indiana team that has already toppled Penn State and Michigan this season. Ohio State will need all the support they can get this afternoon, and their biggest celebrity fan just chimed in to cheer them on.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was thrilled after Fields connected with Garrett Wilson for a touchdown on Ohio State’s second play of the game, as he declared that the “good guys” have taken a 7-0 lead.

Justin Fields needs to make LeBron James proud today

James’ Ohio State fandom does usually start to become more pronounced whenever the Buckeyes start to contend for championships, and Fields has all the tools necessary to take the Buckeyes to the promised land.

While Fields started his day against the Hoosiers with two interceptions, just the fourth and fifth of his Buckeyes career, Ohio State still has an edge over the Hoosiers on the offensive side of the ball, meaning he will have more than enough chances to bounce back.

While James has been seen cheering on the Cowboys, Yankees, Indians, and Dodgers on different occasions, it’s clear that his bandwagoning stops at the collegiate level, as the Akron native bleeds scarlet and gray. If Ohio State ends up avenging last year’s defeat to Clemson and plowing through to the championship, James might be able to claim a second title in what has been a busy year for him.

Ohio State leads 28-7 over undefeated Indiana but for some reason, LeBron has been silent as the Buckeyes have gone on a tear. Maybe he’s busy recruiting the next free agent to come to the Lakers?

LeBron came back after Shaun Wade had an interception returned for a touchdown at the end of the third quarter to make it a 42-21 game and stave off a comeback attempt by the Hoosiers.
