The Chiefs need some depth after the Clyde Edwards-Helaire injury.
The Kansas City Chiefs pride themselves on having the greatest collection of offensive depth in the NFL, but that stockpile of stars might lose a key member for a few games as sensational rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire left the game against the New Orleans Saints with a groin injury that looked extremely serious.
While they have the best backup running back in all of football in former All-Pro Le’Veon Bell, losing the stud rookie could eat into that depth in a major way. One of these three backs should end up on a plane to Kansas City as soon as possible,

3. Tavien Feaster
Feaster was a former 5-star recruit who never got the chance to shine at Clemson, but he started to show that he could be a deadly one-cut power back during his time at South Carolina. Arriving at the Shrine Bowl with teammate Rico Dowdle, who managed to claw his way onto the Dallas Cowboys roster, Feaster looked like the more complete back, as his superior vision and elusiveness as a runner stood out. While he hasn’t latched onto a roster, Feaster still has his best football ahead of him, and Andy Reid might be able to unlock it.
Eric Bieniemy and Patrick Mahomes won’t be leaning on too many run-heavy gameplans, but they still need to add one more face in that backfield in order to get peace of mind before the grueling playoff gauntlet ahead of them. Feaster might not be the highest-ceiling option on the market, but he is a former 5-star recruit that put up solid numbers in college, making him the perfect lottery ticket for Kansas City to stash on the practice squad.
