Despite taking down the Carolina Panthers, Aaron Rodgers was not happy with how the Packers played late in the victory.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Green Bay Packers continued their winning ways with a victory over the Carolina Panthers on Saturday night. However, if you watched the battle, it sure was sluggish for the NFC powerhouse.

Aaron Rodgers is the first person to admit he wasn’t pleased with how the offense looked, especially in the second half. Plain and simple, Rodgers said the team needs to be better moving forward.

Aaron Rodgers didn’t hesitate saying the Packers didn’t look sharp in the second half on Saturday

In the 26-14 win, the Packers looked outstanding in the first half, going into the locker rooms holding a 21-3 advantage. In the second half, however, Green Bay played the exact opposite, getting outscored by the Panthers 13-3. Only three points for the Packers in the second half? Yup, that’s not going to cut it, especially not for Rodgers.

On the day, Rodgers threw for a lowly 143 yards and one touchdown, while adding a rushing score as well. Those 143 yards is something no one expected to happen, with Rodgers throwing the ball all over the field throughout the year. Even more surprising, standout receiver Davante Adams was held to seven receptions for 42 yards.

While Rodgers has every right to be concerned with how the team looked in the second half, they still managed to get the job done and remain at the top of the NFC ranks with their 11-3 record. With two games left in the regular season, Green Bay is hoping to hold on to that No. 1 seed in the NFC. If they want the first-round bye, they’ll definitely need to look sharper than they did against Carolina.
