Cowboys vs. Giants: NFL live stream Reddit for Week 17
Yes, one of these teams can remain in the NFC playoff race…for some reason
It’s almost time, but the NFC East race is coming to a close. The Philadelphia Eagles were officially eliminated from the postseason picture last week, but the other three teams remain.
One team will be joining the Eagles by Sunday even as the New York Giants will take on the Dallas Cowboys to close out the regular season. The winner of this game remains alive for a few more hours while the losing is sitting dead in the water, likely grabbing a top 10 pick in April’s draft.
The Cowboys (6-9) will try to extend their winning streak to four games now with Andy Dalton finding his rhythm. One has to give credit to Mike McCarthy and the offensive staff, who have found what works to their liking over the past month.
Dalton is a key part of Dallas’ overall success in December. The team is coming off a 500-yard performance while the defense has 10 takeaways during the winning steak. Dalton, meanwhile, has thrown for 1,926 yards and 14 touchdowns against seven interceptions since his first start back in October.
Joe Judge will be the future for New York, bringing the right culture to the Big Apple for the first time in nearly a decade. Overall, after a 1-7 start, New York’s rebound should at least have Giants fans believing the team can win the future with former No.6 overall pick Daniel Jones.
Both teams need to win on Sunday to remain in line for the NFC East playoffs. After that, they’ll be rooting for the Eagles to take care of business on Sunday Night Football against Washington to give them the division lead.
Dallas could tie and still get in should Washington lose or tie. It’s not the same for the Giants.
