Massive news has arrived for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, as running back Zamir White is returning to Athens next season.

The positive offseason updates continue to roll in for Georgia football. Fans were surely fired up when JT Daniels announced he’d return next season, and things have been made even sweeter knowing another major offensive weapon will be joining him.

On Wednesday afternoon, Bulldogs’ running back Zamir White took to social media to let everyone know he won’t be entering his name in the NFL Draft just yet. That’s because he’s headed back to Athens for the 2021 campaign to settle what he’s calling unfinished business.

Zamir White returning to Georgia next season bolsters SEC title hopes

The 215-pound redshirt sophomore running back is coming off an impressive campaign for Georgia, rushing for 779 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games, averaging more than five yards per carry. A class of 2018 signee, White arrived to Georgia as the No. 1 ranked running back in the country and a five-star recruit.

Since he’s three years removed from his high school days, he was eligible to make the leap to the NFL. Reports indicated he was considering leaving Georgia to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, but it’s clear he’s motivated to help his squad get win the SEC and earn a berth in the College Football Playoff.

The Bulldogs just saw SEC rivals Alabama take home yet another National Championship with a convincing win over Ohio State. You know that had to sting for the Bulldogs players to watch.

Now, though, White will be ready to get to work during spring ball and of course once the season rolls around next September. With so much firepower slated to come back next year, Georgia no doubt will be a team to watch from start to finish in 2021.
