As Drew Brees reaches another birthday, the New Orleans Saints defensive end has a perfect gift for his quarterback.

The New Orleans Saints will be gearing up for one last run with Drew Brees. How much longer does the quarterback have in the NFL? By all indications, the clock is ticking by quarters entering this Divisional Round weekend.

The Saints will play host to NFC South rival Tampa Bay this weekend to determine who moves on towards the conference championship. So far, Brees has bested Tom Brady twice this year, leading New Orleans to a pair of victories and the eventual division title.

That was then, this is now. Brady might be the hottest quarterback not named Josh Allen or Aaron Rodgers entering January. Any indication of him slowing down at 43 seems futile. Brees, who will turn 42 this week, certainly isn’t indulging in avocado ice cream.

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan hopes to make Brees’ final few games special. The old-timer is ready to hang up the cleats and pick up the golf clubs.

Naturally, Jordan couldn’t help but offer the best birthday gift to his aging quarterback. Needless to say, laughter is expected.

Jordan has jokes for the birthday boy

“Is Metamucil, a proper answer?” Jordan told reporters. “A heated blanket? If anything, I don’t know. I don’t know if anybody can buy Drew Brees anything that he doesn’t already have.”

When thinking about it, Brees truly does have everything under the sun. Two of the biggest records in the history of the sport belong to him. So does a Lombardi Trophy. While he might never have an MVP title, those multiple trips to the Pro Bowl and playoffs should suffice for a Hall of Fame career.

If Jordan wants to get him something special, maybe the team should pair up and get him another Super Bowl ring? The Saints defense has been one of the league’s best all season, showing off their dominance with a 21-9 win over the Chicago Bears.

The saying is two is better than one. Brees has one ring and one title. Jordan and the defense might need to give him the best parting gift of all-time.

On top of that, Metamucil is always a great gag gift.
