The Cleveland Browns have some work to do if they want to get back to the postseason and it starts with the 2021 NFL Draft.

Rejoice, Cleveland Browns fans! Kevin Stefanski, Baker Mayfield, and company won 11 games, the most since 1994 and the highest total since they returned to the NFL in 1999 while ending a playoff drought that almost lasted two decades

While this organization deserves immeasurable credit for breaking this curse, they need to hit some home runs in the 2021 NFL Draft if they want to sustain this success. If they use their pick to beef up on defensive reinforcements, the Browns might end up in the playoffs once again.

The Browns should draft one of these 3 future stars in the 2021 NFL Draft

After a few years in a row of exceptionally deep defensive line classes, 2021’s class is so thin that there is a chance that there will not be a lineman taken in the first round. However, given Cleveland’s draft position, they could have their pick of the litter at this position, and Barmore has risen above Florida State’s Marvin Wilson and USC’s Jay Tufele after a strong season as a starter in Tuscaloosa.

Barmore improved his production, especially in the sack department, as seven sacks in 10 games has given Cleveland some hope that he can step in and pressure the quarterback on Day 1.

Barmore might be a bit concerning given his lack of reps as a starter and general rawness in both his pass rush moves and gap discipline, but he could work his way onto a weak Cleveland defensive line. Sheldon Richardson is nowhere near the dominant player he was with the Jets, while Larry Ogunjobi’s regression over the last two years has been jarring. Myles Garrett can be dominant at times, but he can’t do it alone.

With Barmore able to plug up holes in the run game and use his strength to knock pass-blocking guards on their butt, Joe Woods will finally have a defensive line worth shouting about.
