Former Alabama football players bash recruit for leaking Nick Saban’s recruiting pitch
Former Alabama football players are voicing their disappointment in the leaking of a Nick Saban recruiting video.
Several former Alabama Crimson Tide football players have taken to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction regarding a leaked recruiting video that went viral over the weekend. A Zoom call with 2022 defensive end recruit Enai White featured Nick Saban talking him through what makes the Alabama football program so special.
We’ve never before seen this in-depth of look into how the Crimson Tide go about recruiting. We know that Alabama has won 5college football national championships in the last decade, so if given the opportunity to go, recruits can always think about that.
But, it’s different when you see Saban making the pitch himself. So when former Alabama football players learned that their secrets to success were being shared all over the internet, they were understandably upset.
Former Alabama football players didn’t appreciate the leaked recruiting video
Current Jacksonville Jaguar offensive tackle and former Crimson Tide player Cam Robinson wondered why the meeting was being recorded in the first place.
To that, current San Fransisco 49ers safety Jared Mayden responded with this.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III agreed that he felt like recruiting as of late is more about ‘clout’ than anything else.
In the leaked Zoom call, Saban stressed the fact that Alabama’s NFL roster is one of the main reasons to attend the university. “We have way more players playing in the league than anybody,” said Saban on the call. It’s true. The Alabama Crimson Tide currently has 68 players in the NFL, which is more than any other college football team.
We’ll see if this leak affects White’s recruiting process at all.
