The best keeps getting better, as the Alabama football program just landed the best class in the history of college football recruiting.

With 2021 National Signing Day well underway, Nick Saban’s Alabama football program will have landed the best college football recruiting class of all time, according to CBS Sports.

The 2021 Alabama recruiting class edges out Urban Meyer’s 2010 class with the Florida Gators.

Five-star running back Cam Wheaton signed his National Letter of Intent on Signing Day after giving some consideration to Oklahoma. The five-star running back cemented the top class of all time designation and is one of seven five-star signees for Saban.

Alabama landed the top two offensive tackles in this class as well in five-stars JC Latham and Tommy Brockermeyer. This is an example of the rich getting richer. It’s a virtual lock that this incoming class will win at least one national championship if not more.

So what is the rest of the SEC and Power 5 to do going forward?

Recruitment is why Alabama remains a perennial national title contender

When Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007, the Crimson Tide had essentially been an afterthought for a decade. By his third year, Alabama won its first national title since 1992. In the years since, Saban has won five more national championships at Alabama, tying Paul “Bear” Bryant’s number with the Crimson Tide. At 69-years-old, Saban is not letting up just yet.

As long as Alabama continues to recruit at a top-five level, the Crimson Tide will remain favorites to come out of the SEC and make the College Football Playoff. While they lose one coordinator after another to head coaching positions, the results are the same. Alabama continues to win at a prolifically high level on the gridiron, as well as on the recruiting trail. They are a football factory.

Look for Alabama to possibly repeat as College Football Playoff National Champions next January.
