The Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuña, Jr. is ready for Opening Day.

Ronald Acuña, Jr. is one of the most recognizable baseball superstars in the game today. While we can argue all day about whether or not MLB does enough to market its international stars, the increasingly diverse audience knows exactly what Acuña, Jr. is capable of.

With the Braves approaching World Series or bust-level expectations, Acuña is ready to deliver. In Atlanta’s spring training game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Acuña, Jr. went yard off Rays pitcher Collin McHugh. While the Braves struggled against Rays ace Tyler Glasnow, McHugh was no match facing one of the best young sluggers in the game.

Better yet, Acuña, Jr. let him know exactly how far he hit that baseball.

Will the Atlanta Braves live up to expectations in 2021?

PECOTA predicts the Braves to finish second in the NL East, taking a step back in favor of the new-look New York Mets. That’s a bit surprising given the Braves upgrades, which includes signing Charlie Morton and inking slugger Marcell Ozuna to a new long-term contract.

To be fair, the Braves bullpen has noticeably gotten worse. Mark Melancon is on the San Diego Padres, and Atlanta has yet to solve their closer problem. Shane Greene remains a possibility, but until they sign him, he’s still a pipe dream.

For now, though, Acuña has a message for the haters: Don’t sleep on us.
