Miley Cyrus put on a show between games at the Final Four that some fans loved while others struggled to see the connection for college basketball.
Baylor and Houston didn’t deliver much excitement in the first Final Four game of the night but before UCLA and Gonzaga met in the night game, Miley Cyrus performed for fans.
Miley performed a few covers of Queen, Joan Jett and Fleetwood Mac songs, along with a few of her classics, for some socially distanced fans in attendance and for the millions and millions watching at home. Many Miley fans may not have been too keen to watch Baylor bludgeon Houston or care about UCLA likely getting boat raced by Gonzaga, but they definitely loved the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s mini-concert from Lucas Oil Stadium.
Most fans were pumped to see Miley perform at the Final Four

This quite an upgrade from the Final Fours I covered, where halftime was just a bunch of NCAA PSAs.

Miley Cyrus is covering Queen in front of like 50 people socially distanced on what used to be the other court at Lucas Oil Stadium. This tournament has been something else.

Miley Cyrus has more Final Four appearances this season than the Big Ten. pic.twitter.com/ueO0k8n4Ey

Miley can’t cover Freddie. This is horrible.

Outside of the NBA All-Star Game and halftime of the Super Bowl, the Final Four may be the next best spot for a concert at a sporting game. Definitely beats the NHL or MLB All-Star Game.
I’d argue the Between Final Four Games Concert is one of the best Sports Concerts you can do. Probably #3 behind the Super Bowl and the NBA All Star Game

For many, this was also the first time to hear live music since the pandemic deprived us of live concerts for the last year. Perhaps we can get that back this summer.
Miley’s stage set is legit. Hot damn!

It feels f cking phenomenal to hear and experience live music again for the first time in more than a year.

I was not prepared for this.
Me: come watch UCLA-Gonzaga with me?

Daughter: why would I do that?
Me: Miley Cyrus concert before the game.

What did you think of Miley’s concert at the Final Four?
