Jimbo Fisher poked the bear and Nick Saban will make him regret doing that so badly.

When Texas A&M football coach Jimbo Fisher said his Aggies were going to beat Nick Saban and his Alabama football team’s ass in front of the Houston Touchdown Club, he poked the bear.

Saban found out about this and replied with a hilarious, two-word response: In golf?! To date, no former Saban assistant has ever beat him. Fisher famously served on Saban’s LSU Tigers staff as the offensive coordinator in the mid-2000s. While Fisher has brought Texas A&M back to national prominence and won a national title at Florida State before that, don’t poke the bear!

Giving Saban and the Alabama program bulletin-board material in May sounds like a bad idea.

Jimbo Fisher will regret poking the bear that is Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide

To be fair, Texas A&M will likely be one of the four best teams in the SEC once again next year. The Aggies were the first team out of the College Football Playoff. Their only loss on the season was at Alabama early in the season. Texas A&M won the Orange Bowl over North Carolina in one of their best seasons in program history. However, Fisher will absolutely regret the comment he uttered.

While there is a pathway for Texas A&M pulling off the home upset, as the Aggies have the easier early-season schedule over the Tide, Texas A&M will be breaking in a new starting quarterback now that Kellen Mond plays for the Minnesota Vikings. Though Texas A&M could give Alabama one heck of a game, the Crimson Tide are the very best team in the SEC until proven otherwise.

Alabama will have audio of Fisher’s comment playing at the team facility for the next five months.
