The last thing the Chicago Cubs need is an injury to slugger Kris Bryant.

Bryant’s resurgence has been a pleasant story for the Cubs so far this season, as talks around the team have gone from when they might deal KB to if they should consider signing him long-term over some of their other stars. Bryant is in the early-season running for National League MVP, and should the Cubs defy expectations at season’s end, he could very well still be among the final candidates.

So far this season, Bryant is hitting .308 with nine home runs and 22 RBIs. That’s more than enough to place him among the league leaders.
