If you want to watch the 2021 Preakness Stakes, be sure you tune in before the event’s post time.

The 2021 Preakness Stakes takes place this Saturday, May 15, two weeks removed from a much-talked-about Kentucky Derby. 10 horses will take part in the event, including Medina Spirit who tested positive for a banned substance following the win at the Derby.

While the event is taking place on Saturday, you may be wondering when the post time is for the second leg of the Triple Crown. That is where we have you covered.

When is the post time for the 2021 Preakness Stakes?

The post time will take place at 6:50 p.m. ET, broadcast nationally on NBC. The event will air from 2:00 p.m. ET until 5:00 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network before switching over to NBC until 7:30 p.m. ET.

Attendance at Pimlico Race Course will be limited to 10,000 socially distanced fans for the 2021 Preakness Stakes. This comes less than a year after there were no spectators admitted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Even with the Derby result under review, Medina Spirit will be among the 10 horses racing at the event, as it awaits the second round of testing results.
