Marcus Rashford calls out racist fans after Manchester United loss to Villarreal
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has called out all of the fans sending him racist language after his team’s loss in the Europa League Final.
Wednesday night in Poland has proven to be a forgetful one for Marcus Rashford and Manchester United. The English Premier League giants were the favorites to take down Villarreal in the Europa League Final over in Poland, but the Spanish side pulled off a stunner.
Rashford had a game to forget, as he failed to step up for his team in the defeat. Unfortunately, Rashford took to Twitter to say that he’s already received plenty of racial abuse following the loss to Villarreal in penalty kicks. It’s something that is simply inexcusable.

Fans are sending racial comments to Marcus Rashford after Manchester United’s loss
As you can see from Rashford’s tweet above, he’s already heartbroken as it is following the shocking loss to Villarreal. Everyone figured Manchester United would be able to take care of business and take the trophy back to England. Instead, the cup is making its way over to Spain.
This isn’t the first time Manchester United’s players have received racist comments from fans. Earlier this year, Anthony Martial and Axel Tuanzebe were also subject to awful words from disrespectful supporters. Now it’s Rashford, born and raised in Manchester, who is seeing just how nasty folks can be on social media.
The fact that a math teacher is among the people sending Rashford racist words is downright insane. That person will be lucky if they still have a job come Monday morning. For Rashford, he’ll hope to put this loss behind him and start getting his mind right for the Euros this summer. However, there’s no question he’s disappointed with how United fans are behaving following Wednesday’s rough result.
