The Western Conference Finals are here, and it’s time to put some money down on the Suns vs Clippers Game 1 action.

It’s finally here, the Western Conference Finals and buckling up doesn’t even begin to describe how we should feel about the series ahead of us.

Two teams that haven’t reached the NBA Finals either in decades or at all have a chance to continue their dream season. In one corner is the Phoenix Suns, the darlings of the NBA Bubble last season who took their undefeated streak there and morphed it into a season that has catapulted them to the Conference Finals. We adored the Suns in the bubble, but now they’ve commanded our respect, as well as the attention of the NBA elites.

In the other corner is the Los Angeles Clippers, who have never been on this stage in the entire history of the franchise. Seemingly cursed to be little brother to the Lakers, the Clippers are hot off of an iconic Game 7 win over the top-seeded Utah Jazz and are looking to make the NBA Finals for the first time ever.

Suns vs Clippers Game 1 prediction and pick

One thing that could sway the game is the absence of Chris Paul, who will miss Game 1 while still in COVID protocol. That news has been out there since Saturday, but Vegas doesn’t seem to think it’s going to matter in the outcome of the game. Phoenix is still favored, and so far betting on Devin Booker seems like a smart play.

Los Angeles came out firing in the second half of its Game 7 win on Friday night, but it’s a quick turnaround to the first game of the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers will put up more of a fight than some might expect, but the Suns can match the emotion and have a ruckus Phoenix crowd behind them in what should be a Game 1 win.

Take the Suns money line, and lay the points against the spread as well.
