MLB Twitter sent their well wishes to Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuña after he suffered a right leg injury during Saturday’s game against the Miami Marlins.

Ronald Acuña was set to represent the Atlanta Braves in the MLB All-Star Game this Tuesday, but that does not appear to be in the cards after he suffered a devastating right leg injury during Saturday’s game against the Miami Marlins. Acuña leaped through the air to try and catch a fly ball in right field, but he landed awkwardly on his right leg and immediately grabbed at his right knee. After attempting to walk off the field under his own power, Acuña had to be carted off to the dugout due to the pain.

It is never a good thing to see one of the league’s bright stars go down with an injury. Plenty of Twitter users sent their well wishes to Acuña, hoping that his ailment is not serious.

The injury certainly did not look good upon seeing how Acuña landed on his right leg. That, and seeing the star outfielder in tears as he waited for the cart to take him back to the dugout. For now, all Braves fans can do now is just wait for an official announcement on Acuña’s diagnosis and hope that he is not ruled out long-term.

Through 82 games this season, Acuña is slashing .283/.394/.596 while recording 24 home runs, 52 RBI, 72 runs scored and 84 hits. On July 1, Acuña was named a starting outfielder for the National League team for the 2021 All-Star Game.
