Chiefs: Hilariously-bad NFL 100 vote is a huge insult to Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes deserves so much better, and at the very least folks around the NFL should know how to spell his last name.

We need to know who did this.

Mahomes is a former MVP and is the likely favorite to win the award this season for a reason. While the Chiefs lost to Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in last year’s Super Bowl, Kansas City is favored to win it all this season and loaded up on the offensive line, a clear area of weakness for them by the end of last season.

The NFL100 is the best barometer of who NFL players think is the best among them. While Mahomes ranks near the top of all these lists, one vote in particular is a huge insult to the Chiefs quarterback.

Patrick Mahomes isn’t No. 2, and surely deserves his name spelled correctly

Mahomes and the Chiefs are gearing up for the season. However, Andy Reid isn’t handling his starting quarterback with bubble wrap. Instead, he’s allowing the starting 1’s to get plenty of playing time this preseason in hopes of avoiding the obvious rust that could come with a long offseason.

As great as Brady is — and he’s the greatest quarterback of all-time for a reason — he’s still 44 years old. Are we really arguing that he’s better than Mahomes at his peak?

Regardless, Patrick “Mahomes” deserves more respect from his peers.
