5 potential transfer destinations for Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler
After being benched during the Texas game, Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler has every reason to transfer for a second chance at another program.
A rough season for Spencer Rattler finally came to a head during the Texas game when he was benched.
Fans had been calling for backup Caleb Williams for weeks. With anti-Rattler sentiment raining down from the stands, it seems that his time with the Sooners could be coming to an end.
While he could simply depart for the NFL Draft, now probably isn’t the best time for him. His draft stock has utterly tanked over the last few weeks.
If Rattler wants to rehabilitate his draft stock, he’ll have to transfer somewhere to get his second chance.
Potential Spencer Rattler transfer destinations if he leaves Oklahoma
5. Miami would welcome Rattler with open arms
The Hurricanes may already have their quarterback of the future on the roster with Jake Garcia waiting in the wings. Still, few teams would turn down an experienced option like Rattler. Miami has been chasing relevancy for years and Rattler could be the type of quarterback to take them to the next level.
4. Kentucky could give Rattler a chance to play in the SEC
Oklahoma is going to end up in the SEC by 2025, Rattler could beat them to it by jumping to Kentucky. Will Levis has been playing so well for the Wildcats that he could make his jump to the NFL in 2022. That would open the door for someone like Rattler to come in and inherit a Kentucky team on the rise.
